There are many people that create fonts for
Hieroglyphics. The listing here will contain both free and shareware fonts. Please check
with the originating authors for actual costs, if any. However, the majority of the
postings, as best as possible, will be free from the authors for personal use.
For the beginner, here are a few online tutorials:

RK Ancient Fonts are a collection of TrueType fonts for MS
Windows (Version 3.1 upwards):
All the fonts are in the Windows TTF format and you can use a windows-based text editor
(WordPad, Write, MS Word, WordPerfect etc.). For further information about the language or
the font, click on the appropriate link for info and samples.
The inhabitants of imperial Meroe (in the lands of Ethiopia) were the first people to
use a literal script. The signs for this script were taken from the Egyptians
Hieroglyphics (23 instead of 22 which the Greeks borrowed). They used two different
scripts: Hieroglyphics and Demotic

NOTE: With this font you do not get a font to write
Egyptian Hieroglyphics.
