There is more to
technologies then technology, and there is more to companies, then the
company.
Many in the past, our should we accurately say, that a
few who were short sighted ones, thought that nepotism was bad or wrong,
and that is should be stopped and erased from the shores of the land.
However, those we some of the strongest and best of
breed. One might even say, they were the best of class. And we wonder why?
We laughed at our brethren overseas, for thinking about
family and continuity. Saying that what was good for the company, was good
for the people. And others took it as far as saying, "What is good
for the company, is good for the world."
And, in the far past, and in the far away lands, that
was true, until those short sighted few gained power and their honorific
minds took control.
Those few decided that the family was a bad thing, and
that it should not matter in the world of technology or the business of
the company.
So, slowly, but surly, the devised ways to prove that
the family was bad and destructive. That the family was so self-centered,
that it permeated the technology and the company. That mean that nepotism need
to be crushed.
We did not want the family to have its members involved,
and we wanted to remove their wealth, because that was what we did not
have. Although both the family owned and control technologies an
companies, were the strongest and the best of bread.
Those family owned and control technologies and
companies were the pillars of the past. You knew a technology or a company
by the name of the family, not by the name of the company.
And, that had a very strong affect on the technology and
company. If the family name was bad, then we knew that the technology or
company was bad, and if the family name was good, we knew that the technology
or the company was good.
Just by knowing the family, we had a rather uncanny idea
about the qualities of the other people and things within it. And, from
that basis we understood the resulting technology and company.
And, there was the added benefit of pressure. Not just
the pressure from the public knowledge, but the internal pressure from the
family. The family knew that if the technology or company did poorly, then
that was a great reflection on the family. But, even more so, if the
family did poorly, that was even worse for the technology and company.
This caused the family to keep the family in all aspects
of the entity. And, it also caused the family to want to be a part of the
entity. It was like family pride. You could say your name, and the world
knew who you were, and what you stood for. And, it did not matter if they
said the name of the family, technology, or company. Because in nepotism,
it was all one and the same. The family, the technology, the company.
And, when times were troubled, the family did not have
the luxury that technology and the company have today. Back then, in the
near distant past, the family had to think outside of the box, and come up
with solutions to make the technology safe, and the company survive.
"Why?"
Because the technology and the company were the family.
You could not abandon either, because both were part of the family.
You could not simply say, "Let's kill this product
line." Because part of the family's life desires were in getting the
product line to work. And, killing that product meant killing a part of
the family. Therefore, you had to think outside the box of destructions
and come up with a plan of action, to save the product.
You could not simply say, "Let's reduce the work
for." Because part of that workforce, was part of the family. And,
you could reduce the numbers at the office, but you could not reduce the
numbers at the next family outing or re-union. Oh no, you would have to
face those faces for the rest of your natural born days.
But today, that has all changed. And simply because a
few sort sighted ones, wanted to destroy the family.
Why? Well, there are many, many, many reasons for which
they wanted to do this.
They wanted power, but did not have the strength to
create their own.
They wanted innovation, but did not have the mind to
think on their own.
They wanted control, but did not know how to control
their own minds.
They wanted riches, but did not see the riches that lay
at their feet.
They wanted secrets, but the secrets were there in the
open, where they could not see them.
In their minds, they thought that the family was too
powerful and controlling of the thing that they wanted.
But, they did not know, that the power and control was
all theirs. They did not understand that they gave up their own, and made
the others.
And, in that short sightedness, they thrust the failures
of their own family onto the families of the technology and company
owners. The failures in their own family known as greed and envy
Yes, the short sighted ones wanted to kill nepotism,
because of their own greed an envy. The greed and envy that was and still
is, eating them alive.
And so, the world suffers.
