It is normal for people to think that reality is truly absolute.
Without this general belief, there would exist, in man's mind, nothing but chaos. This vision of chaos or knowledge beyond our grasp is the hidden foundation of
our culture(s). Since there is really nothing but chaos out there in the universe, we tend
to believe that only a few, those giants of thought which inhabit our world, can truly get
a glimpse of it's vastness. And even fewer of them are able to translate this glimpse
into something we mere mortals might comprehend. |
That is the beauty of acceptance. We all understand what we are
told by the world, but we do not comprehend their intended meaning(s) or impact(s).
The fallout from this? Acceptance.
Today in our technological society, we like to ponder how far we have
come from the chaos, as the world has indicated to us.......
- o Long ago we thought that the earth was flat and that
we where everything
- o Then we thought that the earth was round and the
center of the universe
- o After a time the earth was aloud, by the giants of the
world, to revolve around the sun
- o Those Giants of Thought eventually accepted
that we were a tiny speck, and the sun but a small life giving star of the
universe
- o And today, we think of our universe as one of many,
and our galaxy as a speck within one of them
How did we achieve this?
Our acceptance lead us to believe what ever the giants of the world told
us was fact. And in a positive line of reasoning, acceptance allows us to carry-on with
our every day lives. Unfortunately, it also allows us to carry on with the
acceptance of the thoughts of the giants!
But, the gifted and the lucky few see the world and it's acceptance as
the beginning of great questions and insurmountable puzzles. Not the answers to what they
are trying to learn.
The gifted and the lucky few realize that the world is teaching only
what has been accepted by it. Either yesterday or 4004 years ago.
