Domino Lotus Notes 6

There are many new features, that have been enhanced with version 6. And, as of these first writings on September 2002, we have now moved from beta to pre-release. I have been using the betas for more than a year now, and there are many little tips and tricks that I like to keep around.

Also, I have been programming the Domino Object (classes) in Visual Basic 6 (VB6), and I want to have a handy little notebook for all of my coding samples as well. So, I also keep the LotusScript Object Model close at hand.

For those of you, who get tons of eMail (and receive tons of eMail) in your Lotus Notes $Inbox, here are sample tips for Keeping Your Inbox Clean.

And, for the Domino Web developers, here are some things for running your nHttp server on your desktop with your local client install. No Domino nHttp server needed.

Where to Start Links:

Lotus Today http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/today.nsf/

At Lotus Today, you will find the Documentation Library. There are good examples and templates. The nicest thing, is the dictionary containing the class objects and a few samples. If you want to also become a beta / pre-release tester, you can signup here.

The Sandbox http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/sandbox.nsf

The Sandbox allows you to share templates, applications, and code samples with other Lotus Software developers. Currently you can download applications, submit applications of your own and submit reviews of applications you've downloaded.
