Open Multiple Versions of Notes

Using the default notes.exe file to open the Notes client doesn't allow you to run two versions at once. If you try to open a second version while one is already running, you will get an error message. If you'd like to test things from different versions of Notes without constantly opening and closing Notes, you can do so by creating a new shortcut for each version. Then use the nlnotes.exe file as each shortcut's executable. This file should be available in the program directory for each version.

You should also make sure you have a notes.ini file in the program directory of each version, and remove notes.ini from the OS system directory if you find a copy there. You'll need to check the system directory for the notes.ini file each time you reinstall a version of Notes prior to R5.x.
